I would say it is unusual unless you are elevations like Clingmans Dome or Mt Leconte. But early in May it is possible at some of the lower (5500') elevations like today.

Second Round of Rain/Thunder/Lighting & Hail, today.. I assume things broke the "Cap" quickly after this  mornings storms..

You did better than me. We got 0.01” today and we haven’t had more than 0.20” since April 10

Had a strong storm move over us but 10 minutes of heavy rain only dropped .20" and that was it. Hopefully we will get more later today. Big storm blew up just to my south and east and missed mby. Did cool us off to 70 from 84.
