Looks like the HL blocking(-NAO) will hang on for another week, then break down. Not that it means a whole lot this time of year- it can still get pretty warm with a block. The anomalous vorticity lobe rotating down and inducing this wind event is related to that h5 pattern though. With the pattern change, there will likely be less of the coolish (pleasant) days with NW breezes, and more frequent bouts of warmth and humidity by mid month. Ofc it largely depends on the location and strength/persistence of the upper ridging going forward.

Plenty of shredded leaves and small tree debris all over the place, but not seeing anything major. The strongest winds here occurred overnight.

Winds have died down significantly this morning.

Currently 45 and breezy. Looks like a pretty nice day for yardwork. Mid/upper 60s and super low dews.

How's the May snow lookin?

Outside of maybe Canaan, and even there it usually isn't a big deal, odds of May snowfall is pretty much a zero for everywhere in the MA.

I don't think the faux hand wringing over random silly op GFS runs is really necessary tbh, lol.

Looks warm and humid for the first part of the week.

With a trough to the west and a ridge overhead, Tuesday will probably feel like July, with temps pushing 90 in the usual warmer spots.

Yeah....Tuesday may be another 90 day in spots.

Got home and house was too stuffy. A/C time

Have managed to keep the A/C off for today. Have been under clouds most of the day. But did go up to the older Miss J's room and she had her window open and the ceiling fan off. Told her that the room felt like a sauna and to shut her window or turn on her fan. :blahblah:

Come down to Fort Lauderdale where the dew is 71 with a temperature of 88. We have low 90s for highs tomorrow and similar dews in the forecast and the nights haven't gotten below 70 in a long time. 80 degree lows are pretty commonplace in the summer from what I've heard. Love it here.

Sounds like here except with no winter.

Well, umm, nevermind. It's the same.

Strike out for MBY it looks like. Need some rain.

Yeah, dissapointing so far. Is it going to be a busted forecast around my parts?

Mount Holly says 80 % chance of rain .5 to .75 inches. Thats more than showers.

Radar looks like a bust coming up, but we will see.

.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 1am and 2am. Patchy fog after 4am. Low around 64. South wind around 5 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
