Feeling a little chilly aren't you today!         Don't want to turn the heat on that you turned off for the season weeks ago?         Well print this out, tuck it in with you,  and sleep comfortably tonight:

Again it is the GFS, a model with No Quality Control or any Self-Respect.

The last 2 days of May are averaging 54degs.(48/60), or -13.

Month to date is  63.5[+0.6].      May should end at 62.9[-0.3].

Next Fri/Sat/Sun look wet too,  but with AN T's.      Everyday in June looks AN thru the 15th.      100's still showing up.       Week 2 looks like Super HW.     We need 22*C 850mb's for such a show and 5950m Heights.      The Control and Mean only track to the 10th., and then go their  separate ways.     That is when  the 100's show up.

48*(98%RH) here at 6am, light rain.         51* by Noon.

Not really, heat is electric and one is kept at 50 when I am at the other one.

Dont justify that with an answer. A lot of us in this forum have two multiple houses.

45° F, pouring. Heat has been on for two days. Even the secondary heat in the basement has kicked on.

I’m having a barbecue later and I’m going to light the fireplace and the drink du jour will be hot toddies :)

48 and some moderate rain really picking up again.  2.29 in the bucket with another inch to come.  72 hours removed from warm mid 80s on Thursday and likely 72 hours away from the next shot at 80.  Not sure how quick we clear out on Memorial day but it should be salvaged from this early winter like sham we have been muddling through .

Beyond there GFS more west / closer  with ridging  along the Atlantic coast, ECM is more east and weakness in the flow towards Thu 6/3 - Sat 6/5 before ridge builds in fully.  Either way once past today, warmer times ahead (not too difficult to accomplish).  Bermuda high positions 6/2 onward with humid, warmer conditions and next shot at heat arriving by 6/6. Overall much warmer and stormier chances with brief cool down due mainly to onshore flow with any weakness caught up in the flow  for a time but much warmer than this anomalous weather.

It's been saying it for multiple days.... LETS DO IT.

If we're going to be hot it might as well be historic.

We haven't had a 100 degree day in June in a few decades.

For what its worth, LGA did a few years ago. 2017 I believe. I was working outside that day a bike event, until they canceled after a few people passed out.

Some  numbers: the top 2 are the current ongoing event (coCoRaHs) that began late Friday May 28, and the bottom are the CoCoRahs totals since late Wednesday the 26th.

Seems like spotty 6-7" totals likely coastal NJ by Noon Monday, and I think still a chance of spotty 6" LI.

This part of Wantage only 2.10 this two day event and and 2.24 since late Wed, small by comparison elsewhere.

another beauty of a day temps in the 40;s raw wind . i did another 2 mile walk today. and when i went out it was not raining for the first mile. then it started pouring rain... as the rain kept pouring down..

i was reminded of the late great bj thomas famous song..

Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red
Crying's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complaining
Because I'm free
Nothing's worrying me
