Tatamy
The severe thunderstorm at my location here in Bethlehem Twp, PA dropped marble sized hail for a few minutes about 30 minutes ago. That line which is crossing into western NJ bears watching. With the passage of the squall line our temperature dropped 20 degrees in a few minutes from 69 to 49.

Very frustrating how often this happens for this area. So often storms miss northern Middlesex County just a few miles to the north and a few miles to the south. Strange how often this happens. I see a pretty good storm is going into central Middlesex county now. As almost always happens, storms miss just to the north and just to south for this area. I don't know why the broken part of the line goes over northern Middlesex County so often. Looks as if I'm gonna have to go out and water this afternoon. kat5hurricane
It's like Florida today here in Midtown. Sunny then a deluge for 5 minutes then sunny again. I sort of expected something like this with the squall line flying through but this was extremes in a matter of minutes, don't see that too often. SnowGoose69
This is about the only way that WRN LI can get hit effectively from TSTMs this early in the season by a cold front, have them approach from the SW cutting across NJ out to Sandy Hook where they limit exposure time to the sea breeze or ocean flow...the other is a N or NNW approach but that rarely occurs before middle of June and in summer
