cyclone77
Gave 80 a good run today. Hit 78 here, DVN and MLI both 79. Felt pretty toasty in the sun.
Hoosier
Might have a shot at 80 here tomorrow if enough sun. I saw smoke in the northern sky earlier and figured it was a brush fire. Did some investigating and turns out somebody drove into a gas pump and started a fire.
madwx
Some feisty storms crossing the Mississippi. Really taking advantage of the steep mid level lapse rates despite the meager surface moisture

Mogget
Pea-sized hail in a baby t-storm just now. Nice to hear the change of seasons. From inside, of course.
cyclone77
Head some thunder earlier as some isolated cells passed nearby. Picked up 0.04" from a micro cell.

cyclone77
Looks like the Euro has been correct the past several days in showing clouds holding back max temp potential today. Probably gonna make a late day run at 80 so it's still possible we make 80, but think without these clouds 80 would have been achieved easily. CheeselandSkies
Captured some pretty good lightning with one of our skycams at work this morning. frostfern
Very small cell just ripped hail for about 5 minutes. It was a little bit bigger than pea sized, but not quite dime size. Nice hour long period of gentle rain and occasional rolling thunder earlier this morning too. Saw some decent anvil crawlers.
Brian D
Much needed rain on its way with some thunder mixed in. Might get a little squirrely down towards the Twin Cities with the hot early April weather. Record highs possible!
Hoosier
Have managed to get into the mid 70s even with a ton of clouds. Definitely would've had a shot at 80 with more sun.
cyclone77
Despite clouds we managed our first 80 today. MLI and DVN both have as well. Looking forward to the rains wed. We can use some. EDIT: MLI tied a record high with 81 degrees.

Hoosier
If ORD hits 80, which looks likely, it would be the earliest one since March 24, 2017.

Torchageddon
From a climatic data perspective, what's bothered me is with all the data supposedly available why on earth can't I find out something easy like "What is the warmest April in Ontario's history" or even a specific city!? If you type that question right in Google you only get averages and most results are unrelated . The beginning of the decent warmth is today and I'm even suppose to hit 20ºC+ for two days . Rain chances reduced again for today but storms possible overnight.
madwx
Gonna make a solid run at 80 here, would be the earliest since 2012 and about 3-4 weeks ahead of average.

Torchageddon
For the 3rd time so far in 2021 I reached 20ºC (68F) which is 3C over my forecast high! With the next few days' temps continuously being bumped higher can I get a 26C for Thursday? Let's get greedy here.
