It was a miserable cloudy east wind stretch dude. You wish for that? Good luck This is Concord you were probably 5 degrees colder. What made it worse was the stretch of 70s and 80s the week before.  I am surprised

Bring all the confused emoji's my way, but the EPS is definitely an interior/elevated late season event waiting to happen.  Probably not Tolland though.

Yeah, the GFS @ day 6-7 has 30" of snow for parts of central ME on the fantasy snow maps.  And it has another 30" for the remainder of the run, lol.

57°F here now.  Max was 58°.

61F today at the picnic tables... that’s average max temp for June 10th.

Walking the dog in shorts and a t-shirt at 72F in town. Nice early summer day.

We power wash the house. Deck tomorrow and Saturday then we buckle up for an extended ugh week.

Those departures are biased toward the mins. In his defense he did say “highs”.

"near normal" is what I said and those -2 and even -4 are still pretty close to average.  Maybe not within the met community, I'll leave that to others, but as a casual observer.

We kinda luck out on the euro op and the end result looks like something similar to this week with the ULL offshore and warming trend toward the weekend. But I can see how it could verify a lot cooler/wetter. The ULL over the Great Lakes and the one east of us slow way down and then the Lakes one gets Mr. Fujied to our south around the one east of us. We get a few days of shortwave ridging and then dodge the other bullet to our south. Odds probably say it trends toward a less desirable solution, but we hope and pray.

Yeah, the snow is melting fast but it's really hard to complain about anything about this weather right now.  Two more days of mid-June style climo on the snow beach.  It's getting thin though in spots, other trails holding together much better.
