Very happy to see this from WPC for mid-late week.  My problem in the garden in early-mid April is that isn't isn't fully thawed or is thick glop.  It is June level dry now so bring the rain.  Of course it is nice to see the spinach, lettuce, kale pac choi, etc all growing nicely so early.:

"Farther north, guidance has noticeably trended upward with respect
to rainfall across parts of the East Coast/Northeast
Thursday-Friday. Some models suggest moderate to locally heavy
rainfall to accompany the cold front/surface low as it traverses
the region. Coastal low genesis may also present some
maritime/coastal threats across New England late week/next
weekend."

Looks like we punt the rest of April for the most part.

That Typhoon in the Indian Ocean will have a say in changing the look on modeling after the 20th. What looks cold and troughy nationwide will change quite a bit over the coming days. Last 5-10 days of month may end up warm on EC

Sell . That looks really bad . Hi res erodes all of it

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM MONDAY MORNING/...

A band of light showers is slowly making its way into our CWA
from the southwest. This is associated with a H5 shortwave
lifting north across Southern New England. However, the parent
H5 closed low continues to meander across Eastern Ohio/Western
PA. This means that the lifting mechanism to maintain the
showers will decrease and along with the considerable amount of
dry air to overcome at the mid levels, showers coverage will
generally decrease and amounts will be light (generally few
hundredths of an inch).

The result is a rather uneventful night with our region firmly
in the cool northeast flow regime. Doesn`t look like we will get
appreciable rainfall with the better forcing remaining to our
south and west. Temperatures should generally hold in the low to
mid 40s given plenty of cloud cover. Breezy NE winds should
preclude development of widespread fog that we saw last night.

Brutal door conditions took over about mid afternoon. Winds kicked up .. and we went from being comfortable in shorts outside with sun perks and 56 to 46 now and wind. The party is over for a week or so

We got the wind shift here, but none of the mank. 54F with partial sunshine after a mostly sunny day in the low 60s. Best door ever.

Yikes.  Door through here with ESE winds now, but only dropped temp from 73F to 66F, ha.  Went from third week of June weather to only first week of June.

Yup...

seems this BD event had a kind of double boundary aspect to it - the main boundary cut under probably through your neck of the woods around noon... at that time, we were just getting a 2ndary oomph of wind gust from the NE up here and it was a cold smack. Went from flirting with 60 in partly sunny, to 48 and slate shits in an hour.   What you describe catching up to you is almost like that 2nd boundary that came through here, making it's way southwest through the area...

But yeah... if one is a spring/warm enthusiasts,     ... you April, until further notice

It's way better up there than down here.

In NJ it was in the 50s Friday, not bad yesterday with near 70F and filtered sun, and now 50F & rain.

Tomorrow looks even worse.

His area has jackpot the last 4 events . The drought in that area is incorrect . It needs to be shifted west / NW and not over him or N RI

Soaking wet here today with .01

Lowest recorded snowpack at the Picnic Tables for April 11 since observations began in 1954.

19" today and old record was 20" in 1957.  The long term average would be over 4 feet more snow on the mountain!

Today was the 3rd straight day of setting both the daily record max and the record high minimum.  Even the night's up there have been 10 degrees above the normal high temp.

What an absolute torch.  Third week of June climo for 4 four days now.  Last time the summit sniffed freezing was 6 days ago, despite an average low of 21F.
