stormdragonwx
I know spotter icons are not necessarily accurate to the timing but I will note this doesn't look very good either. I hope we don't get news in a couple days of more chasers being killed by a tornado.

CheeselandSkies
Just now, OhioWX said: Please stop. Storms keep trying south of Jackson/west of I-59 but nothing has really taken root there so far. They had a lot of heating this morning though (relative to AL) and surface winds should back with time. Good chunk of eastern MS remains in the 15% hatched MDT risk. UABweather
https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md0261.html oh my god. DISCUSSION...An intense tornadic supercell located over Hale County will likely remain unimpeded as it moves to the east-northeast across central AL during the next 1-2 hours. The near-storm environment is currently primed across central AL with 0-1 km SRH at 600 m2/s2 per observed storm motion according to the KBMX VAD. Given the very moist/strongly sheared environment, expecting a long-track intense (EF3+) and potentially violent tornado to continue east-northeast and reach the I-65 corridor over the next hour or so. I hope we don't get news in a couple days of more chasers being killed by a tornado. Chasers were talking about it crossing directly in front of them. Sad to say but they could have been caught out. The South is brutal to chase in -- look how few options they had. It's basically one major road from Eutaw to Greensboro, and it's so heavily forested in that region. NorthHillsWx
You can see when the tornado hits something on radar. Velocities remain maxed out throughout but you can see the pulsing bursts of higher reflectivity when it hits likely buildings. This things the monster you worry about with these parameters in this setup- it has come to fruition. I wish this was hyperbole
