Last year I mowed for the last time in mid November. The grass is growing faster this year than last year at this time. He's going to return to find the lawn needs mowing. When we visited the kids, then living in DEC, over New Years in 2011-12, they were still harvesting greens from their cold frame when we left on Jan. 2. The company that installed mine charges $65 for closing, and they are in and out in 10 mins. they can probably bang out 20-25 systems a day no problem. If you have an air compressor, it's easy to do yourself. I cut in a fitting on the copper line coming out of the house where I can connect my air compressor line. Takes me about 30 minutes with 10 cfm air compressor to cycle through all 7 zones. Close the valves in the basement, re-teflon tape the fittings and install, ready to go for the spring. Came in way too thick and now overcrowded in spots and lighter green in cooler comapred to the areas I seeded a little lighter which are much darker and healthier. More is not always better.
