I'm pretty sure everyone knows the water is frigid in early-bird April no need for a statement lol

Very warm air temperatures in the mid to upper 70s are expected
today. This may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the
cold water temperatures which are currently only in the lower 40s
across Lake Champlain, and in the upper 30s to lower 40s in the
  regions smaller lakes and rivers.

* Cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone
immersed in the water. According to the US Coast Guard, when the
water temperatures are below 50 degrees, the chance of immediate
incapacitation due to cold shock is extremely high. Anyone on small
boats, canoes or kayaks should plan accordingly if recreating this
weekend and use extreme caution to avoid this threat. Paddle smart
from the start and always wear your life jacket!

Just an incredible day today.  Looks like we missed the record with those pesky clouds but can’t say I remember a stretch like this in early April.  Felt more like June today.  Kids were in the sprinkler all day.  9pm and It’s still 75 out.  Enjoying a beverage on the patio.  Cool breeze is picking up but for April this is amazing.

Yeah I had a ice hockey game tonight. We all went outside in the parking lot after and drank beers around their trucks. Usually we drink in the locker room. Can't beat this weather.

After today the Max 850mb temp on the gfs is +3C over the next 2 weeks.. Going to feel like mid winter conditions compared to what we just went through lol

Yeah, especially after all these days in the 70s and (2 in the low 80s in Sizzlercuse)...Per usual, 4 to 5 degrees above what was forecasted for today. Although today is because we aren't getting the rain that was expected. Looks like mid to upper 70s in the Watertown area!

Typical Spring-like temps are going to feel cool after these warm days...that's a PLUS for me! lol

The rain didn’t move in here until about 2:30 this afternoon. Since the  it’s been mostly off and on light rain, probably about a tenth of an inch. I got a bike ride in late morning, the eighth time I’ve been out already this spring which is unheard of for me.

Where can I get an easy to use radar estimate of rainfall totals? It’s another function that’s completely lost on the NWS Radar. Which is probably the worst piece of software I’ve ever seen. Everyone involved in its creation and roll out should be terminated. I’m not even kidding.
it’s stuff like that - that reduces faith in government services and relegates them to joke status. It’s every bit as bad as a $500 toilet seat. We paid good money for this and it’s not functional at all
