I wouldn’t be too worried.  We’ve survived much bigger ones in the last few years.  Also, I’m jealous of your location as usual

I'm finally getting it fixed this summer so hopefully this is the last windstorm to go through. The left side is now leaning very bad and I'm worried about it.

I’m still not sold on this wind event verifying.  Very narrow window only 2-3 hours, not seeing the sky clear enough to allow mixing.  Thinking we see some good gusts but I’m not seeing this turn into a big damage event.

I think Sunday is going to end up being the bigger wind event as well.

That was a hell of a storm. The anemometer on my tempest didn’t register the most extreme gusts, but contrary to KBUF’s claim in their warning that there was little lightning in the storm, there was quite a bit as the line passed through.

Wicked squall with that line. About 5 minutes of blinding rain and wind. Looks like another one fired up right behind it. Calm winds here now with frequent lightning.

The wind was wild, but the peak gusts were between my measurements (I think the Tempest senses wind speed and direction every six seconds).

A local met (Peter Hall) just posted this picture on Facebook. He described it as being taken near Rochester at 8:45 this morning. Anybody on here have any reports of severe weather?  An update a couple minutes ago said this storm was moving along the Lake Ontario shoreline in Wayne County.

Edit: Update from NWS Buffalo:

"We suspect this is the outflow and shelf cloud of the storm interacting with the cold marine layer over the lake. It does not appear to be a waterspout."

Another crap month in a crap winter. We’ll always have February. Which, if you recall, was supposed to be a warm month based on the LR forecast.

We had a boomer go through last night. I wouldn’t have known except for my fat dog standing on top of me as I slept.
