frostfern
Would be cool to get some thundersnow this evening. System itself is shearing out, but there's instability aloft feeding into the narrow band.
Hoosier
Eyeballing outside, the pavement looks like a skating rink. I don't think it would've looked quite like that with plain freezing rain, but the sleet really adheres well even after the recent warmth.
sbnwx85
It's doing something out there. Looks like sleet and snow. At this point in the year unless it's a tornado I'm not getting up to look.

*IndyMeso*
1 hour ago, Hoosier said: Where's our IND crew? I see the airport is reporting zr. Any sign of icing? Yeah, we had a fair coating here in Hamilton County (maybe around 0.10). Roads were decent but anything elevated was fair game. Once the rain ended, it was backed with strong winds which brought down limbs. Also hearing some downed power lines in lots of areas especially in Lafayette. Didn't lose power here but it flickered several times.

CoachLB
Sleet has helped the freezing rain and drizzle at times stick to some sidewalks cars and the usual things.

cyclone77
The stuff here is like cement. There's been no melting so far which is impressive for mid March. MLI picked up 0.98" of precip today.
Calderon
Meanwhile on the warmer side of the system, a tornado apparently damaged several homes in southern Kansas City, Mo in the last half hour.

wxman_ind
Started the morning off with a 34 degree dewpoint depression (37/3), ended up with lots of icing on elevated surfaces but only wet roads. There are some power outages around central IN from tree limbs falling and such. Thank goodness we had a warm stretch before this event to make the ground warm. OrdIowPitMsp
Just measured 3.5" here with snow about finishing up. Storm ended up a bit further NE then modeled putting down 2-5" across the metro, with double digit amounts across southern Minnesota based on reports. Classic spring wet slop, although the top inch is much drier.
