msuwx
Closed 564 at 24 hours...positioning similar to 6z. Also some vorticity getting pulled out to the NE. This might phase sooner down the road....tough to tell.
AlabamaStormTrackers
Expect the southern wave to lift a little after 21 as the jet streak has rounded the base..

eyewall
I think a bit of an ULL in Iowa at the 30 is throwing a wrench in to the phase on the NAM.
DaculaWeather
Looks a little like this low is starting to close off, at least from this cloud perspective. http://www.daculawea...uscloudloop.php http://www.daculaweather.com/conus/unisys/unisys2.php I'm trying to find the northern energy you're talking about so I can track it on the map? msuwx
southern dist quite strong still at 36. northern dist stronger and a bit SW of 6z run. Don't know if it will miss the phase to the E yet though.
strongwxnc
I "think" it looks like it is slowing down at 33 vs the 06nam plot. imo... QFP is blowing up over Big D and points N and W a ton more than the 06 run of the nam...

Rankin5150
OO gfs @72 06gfs @72 More moisture to work with on the 06 run Mark, Good morning! It is great to be off work eh? Well deserved for ya bro. Anyway, I mentioned last night about a def zone setting up and I noticed that you posted the FD from GSP and they mention that. I am sure glad I have my expectations low on this. However, I think quite a few people will be surprised at the end result. I sure hope this snookers you and Robert! Ahyway, things are looking encouraging. We need to get our soundings specialist QC to look at our areas! Heck...I always leave that up him. beanskip
Matt -- trying to learn... tell me if I'm off base. One thing I see here I don't like is that there appears to be less ridging in the west. Overall the trough looks less amplified -- not good for us in WNC, right?
