Well then .. 12 HRRR.. Most mets would hope thats wrong in CT .. Although the inner snow lover would love to see that happen.. 2" per hour for 1-3 hours across much of CT as heavy snow causes dynamical cooling.

The massive snow squall warnings across PA are impressive, dynamics for the win?

That would blast the lower Fairfield County forecast right out of the water...

Had some weenie flakes here about 15 min ago. Not sure what to expect here....not much accumulation is my thinking but we may get some aggregates at 34F later....might be just far enough west though for an inch or two. I'd bet winter hill in ORH grabs a couple though.

Yes seems the colder trends coincide with faster arrival of precip which doesn’t allow surface to warm as much. SPC mesoanalysis surface wet bulb is very cold still.

It also puts the brakes on the warming taking temps down a notch or two once it sets in...

It's too bad this comes in so late. Would have probably been a little snow here near dawn. I don't expect much of anything near BOS. Maybe Blue hill gets a bit, but temps even near Tolland warm up. Will need to wetbulb. Should be nice NW CT into Dragon-land ORH county and up towards  shallow grave world on NE to the chicken coops and beyond.

I agree plus one burst of snow tomorrow AM then we should melt this 23 day pack away pretty easily.

This has been a great stretch, I have grass showing on my south facing hill, but a 7 inch glacier elsewhere. I radiate so well at night, any melting so far has just become a more solid block of ice. Should be a great mud season...
