rochesterdave
Downsloped big time in Monroe. These snow packs melt faster than I expect. Just takes a few days of warmth and it’ll be gone. Looking like my ski trip for second weekend in March is in serious jeopardy. Lol. But honesty, they haven’t been able to predict a few hours out. 3 weeks is forever. 1
TugHillMatt
Looks great, doesn't it??!? The trees are all decked in a thick layer. I can get a small glimpse of one of the main roads here in Bville from my office and it still looks messy and slushy. The synoptic snow can definitely survive the influences of increased sunlight better than the lake effect fluff! Still snowing moderately here with backbuilding continuing.

CNY_WX
Just now, rochesterdave said: You can see the downslope on the other side too I was going to mention that the returns taper off along a line that seems to correspond with the high point on the Tug.

Snow is well above my knee at my folks house in Pittsford. It doesn’t get much deeper in these parts. I don’t think we had any storms last March. Typically, it’s Rochester’s snowiest month. Or am I imagining that? Lol
CNY_WX
Just measured 3.4 inches since 8:30 this morning to go along with 0.4 inch I measured then so 3.8 for the event so far. Still snowing.
Syrmax
I just measured as it's mostly over for now. Flakes still falling but more "grauply" in type. 3.5" & 0.35" melted. That's 10:1 on the button. Temp is 30F. Edit: and I left out the 1/4" this a.m. and 0.03" so total is 3.75".

Now Rochester and Syracuse might dance back and forth on who has higher season snow totals.
CNY_WX
Every time the back edge approaches it back build over Cayuga County. If this keeps up there won’t be much of a break before the band over western New York gets here.

One 30” total and 2 just shy at 29 and change so while Dave was incorrect in his assessment that March was possibly Rochester’s snowiest month they’ve definitely done quite well even with highs averaging in the 40’s by months end

However, it does seem like March produces bigger synoptic events than most months do.
MAIDEsNow.2
Usually post this once a year or so with my limited posting - picture of Lake Erie. Must have not been too ice covered recently . This was taken on top of our Coaster about 1/2 hour ago, looking northeast up the lake. Ice free save some slushy shore ice. Taken at the amusement park I work at which is at the entrance to Presque Isle state park, couple miles west of the city of Erie. If we do get some cold, Lake seems available for some action... 1

Syrmax
So, with almost 4" out of this "nothing" system and a solid 5-1/2 -6 hours of snowfall, it rivals what we got locally from "the big one" last Monday. Which was disappointment event #2 last week, out of a shopping cart of 4 or 5 (locally).
