Houghton, Michigan. For real, my dream climate.... (For some reason, it cut out the snowfall...which is like 220 inches.)

I think I just had a stroke trying to read this.

Yep, there is a poster that moved from Maine up there and posts pictures. The last few winters it looked like an Alp town, just insane stuff. However, they're not doing that well this year though.

Oh, darn. Yeah, Will...Aww, too bad for him. He can get kind of obnoxious. :P

You're pretty much the same as me but I want it a little warmer than that. I enjoy fall but hate spring as the cold drags on far too long. April is my least favorite month of the year.

I hope last year was an anomaly. This is only my third winter/spring in the area. It just took way too long to get into late spring, it was like early spring lasted through mid May. Temps in the 40s and 50s are just awful.

On the bright side, once it hit summer, it stayed there for a good 3+ months. I hope that's normal.

On average summers following La Nina winters are very warm. Let's hope that comes to fruition. Next year might be a neutral enso state. If that's the case the PAC flow won't be much of a factor and I would go above normal snowfall pretty easily.

Do you know when the last time BGM won the award? I would have to think it’s been quite some time as they usually don’t get much lake effect. Honestly I think if anyone overtakes them it’s ROC or SYR as they have a nice big body of wide open water to their north. BUF is just about done for the season for lake effect so we’re relying on purely synoptic storms which as we all know (back to back major synoptic storms haha) are hard to come by this far west in NY.

Not too long ago 2016-2017, but before that it was 1982-1983

Last summer was certainly the hottest and stickiest I can remember around here. I’m definitely not hoping for a repeat. Mid 70s to low 80s and low dews is perfect for me. Add in a slight breeze and I’m in heaven. Sounds awfully nice right now actually :D

You have a pool now, you'll change your mind this summer. The worst is coming out of the pool feeling cold from a breeze and temps in 70s.

Welcome to Spring in the Great Lakes states. In my opinion. the Falls make up for it. Soooo beautiful and longer than in some other locales. Fall (mid-September through October), surprisingly, is my favorite season...followed very closely by Winter. :P

Yeah, my preference would be summer from May through October and winter from November through April.

I grew up in Connecticut so had pretty standard 4 seasons. Lived in California (interior Bay Area) for 4 years before this, where we had about 4-5 months of spring, 4-5 months of summer, and then it rained from November through January. That was different.

Syracuse is obviously in 3rd place...as we know how Rochester "measures" snow.

Cograts!  Now get some camera time, and you'll be in the Big leagues, lol!

I don’t think KBUF is getting 24” more of snow...especially after the heatwave the 6z GFS is spitting out towards the 2nd week of March...there would be 50’s for sure and maybe some 60’s...that escalated quickly

I took my kids out to the bus this morning and told them to look around at all the snow........this is our maximum snow depth for the year, for sure.

After today it's all downhill.

I give this winter an A- for our area.  I'm into the winter sports and so my grade depends on snowpack and ski conditions.  We had week of good skiing in December, and then January and February have been continuous with excellent pack and excellent surface conditions.

If we could have kept winter going until mid-March I would have gone with the A grade.

I'm going solid A here.  All I really care about is snowpack for snowmobiling and we've had well over a month of that here, with great conditions.  One big storm thrown in too (that melted within a week).  When I've had enough riding, and there is still lots of snow on the ground, I don't need it to last longer.  I'll enjoy warmer weather, and get ready for baseball!

Picked about just over 6 inches here in the Southern Dacks/ Great Sacandaga lake region. Sadly though it looks like it will be warming up soon and that will do it for snowmobile season. Still have a nice pack on the ground so should be about to get a little more riding in.

30 was a disaster yesterday but nice overperformer.
