Now, I know some of that is bright banding as snow is melting, but the main thrust of the precip. is aimed right at East TN. Which means the best lift is aimed here too. 

Obs. indicate rates are sometimes overcoming the warm nose in places.

This is crazy. Even Meigs got an advisory. I can’t believe McMinn, Bradley, or Monroe got an advisory.

With reports of sleet becoming dominant precipitation type
approaching 6 PM CST, updated suite of forecast products to
address with chances of freezing rain and snow continuing.
In some locations a change back over to all snow has begun
to occur over last few minutes. If this trend continues, an
update to suite of forecast products shortly after top of hour
likely to be issued. KOHX 00Z Sounding showing a very slight warm
nose approaching a degree Celsius at 887mb that is likely allowing
production of this sleet across mid state region.

Nothing here in southern Lincoln County yet but it is supposed to be cranking up sometime in the next half hour. Rates of 1+ inch an hour predicted. Currently 28 and calm.

Starting to get reports of sleet SW of Chatt now as well
