Not even half an inch here.
CNY-LES FREAK
Lets see how long we can fend off the mix line, lol!

TugHillMatt
Well, I suppose if we get several inches of sleet it will be harder to melt.

CNY-LES FREAK
I mentioned yesterday the flake size wouldn't be that ideal for accumulating snow but was hoping it changed by the time it got here but I guess it didn't unfortunately! Hopefully it changes when the deeper moisture arrives later tonight but if it doesn't, oh well, lol!

In the last few frames it went from south of the NY/PA border to north of Allegany State Park. Think it’s going to make it to about Springville before all said and done. Syrmax
I'm in Cicero still. Nothing falling here yet.
DeltaT13
Jamestown is at 21 with snow. The beam might just be hitting a shallow melting layer so maybe not a true issue yet. Regardless, there is much deeper moisture moving in fast. It’s gonna get good in a hurry
DeltaT13
I mean that might not be a mix. It might be insanely heavy snow.

Clear visibility on the Olean webcam and they’re under heavy returns. Looks like the started as snow (on the ground) and have since flipped to sleet or ZR. https://www.eadeswallpaper.com/webcam.php

BGM Blizzard
I feel like we are watching the radar on SS Poseidon and trying to make sense of what is building on the horizon and trucking toward WNY

Well not that I trust this all that much but this shows just an area of graupel which could be plausible under strong lifting scenarios. It shows snow south of that area. But again this is mode is far from an exact science.

lakeeffectkid383
Keep an eye on that dry slot already RACING through central OH. Making a beeline right towards WNY.
DeltaT13
Well I’m looking around in central Pa and it looks like a lot of icing so that probably is a mix line. Unfortunate for the southern tier. But I feel pretty safe up here at least for 95 percent of the night.
BuffaloWeather
Looks like heavy snow to me! Wish I was there right now. Much bigger dendrites.
CNY-LES FREAK
This map makes no sense whatsoever, lol! It says its sn/ip mix all along the South Shore which I know is wrong.
SnowLover22
Is Elmira really already reporting freezing rain? I am only 1 hour 15 min north. Oh well....
rochesterdave
Picking up in Pittsford. Medium flake size. Mix seems somewhat contained to southern tier of counties. BUF isn’t worried- I wouldn’t be if they don’t have it in P+C.
lakeeffectkid383
Looking at the National Radar Mosaic it looks like Detroit is gonna be the sweet spot. I know it’s dangerous to project looking at radar but it sure looks like that dry slot is head straight for WNY... it’s already nearing Cleveland.
