96blizz
Growing up in Monmouth County NJ the prospects of a 12”+ snowstorm would have me insane with excitement. Up here? I’m like, “Cool. Cool.” You make your own opportunities in business and life.

BuffaloWeather
If I had to hand pick a pattern that benefits the entire forum it would be this upcoming week. Lets just hope the GFS hops on board the UK/Euro and we really do get back to back big time snowstorms. Going to be a fun week! Already got ski lift tickets for Weds!
BGM Blizzard
BGM also issuing a WSW for Eastern southern tier and catskills though 5-10 is only a 7.5" average and doesn't meet the 9" avg/24 hour criteria. Definitely pretty marginal.
TugHillMatt
This is what I've been waiting for....LOVE that we're getting some moisture from those large bodies of water and running into some cold air!
wolfie09
Maybe from the combination of snow and ice? I can remember several times having an advisory for 5"-10" lol Over a 12hour period..

TugHillMatt
I remember from my years of growing up in PA that not many places in this country, perhaps the world, do ice the way the Poconos does. That region gets some pretty crazy ice storms.

But I think icing will be issue primarily confined to PA zones. If we mix in the southern tier it's likely just sleet.

TugHillMatt
Something is going down on Elmwood in Buffalo. Time for one of your road trips, @BuffaloWeather.... Get the scoop and wave "hi" to the camera. Buffalo, NY | Elmwood Ave | Mr. Pizza | BuffaloWebcam.com | Live Webcams from Buffalo, New York USA Never mind. They just all left. There were a whole bunch of police cars. Perhaps that's a normal thing for there?
