Heisy
NAM gonna have more precip I think edit. Well it’s wetter down in NC early on vs 12z. But we’ll see where it heads.
Baltimorewx
Whats up with models lately drying up in like the 24-48 hr period and then juicing back up when its nearly gametime? Seems like a trend lately

Roughly .2 of qpf at 12z with maybe .16 at 18z. The 3k is a lot wetter though... it had no precip within 50 miles of dc in the 12z run. Goalposts prob narrowing but each model now shows between .15 and .4 of sleet/freezing rain falling with temps between 26 and 29.

high risk
NAM and NAM nest do have a bit more precip arriving during Saturday, but it's mostly sleet until later the day. At that point, it turns to freezing rain, and there is nice slug of it in the nest over southern MD, but the precip field everywhere becomes pretty sparse by 00z. (Worth noting that the 12z NAMs were highlighting the period later Saturday night for the best ice threat. We will see if 18z continues to have heavier precip during that period)
