Really sleeting hard. Impressed at the poor conditions of secondary roads. This is Guinea Road on the way to Target:

A new brewery is opening over near there soon (“early summer”).  “Bunnyman Brewery.”

27 and sleet.  Sidewalks and edges of the road have caved.

Know those hills on Guinea well from our time in W. Spfld.  Lawyers road where we live is somewhat similar envioronment and atm treacherous.   The fzrn coating as a base for the sleet is going to compound things.  Based on the looks of the radar and the inbound precip field, this has the potential to over perform up here.  Either way, would rather have the sleet than fzrn - far fewer power outages.

Looking like a legit ice storm setting in. Moderate steady freezing rain and temp 26. Trees starting to get that ice storm look to them.

Sun is too strong so far. I just went out,  and the usual icy places are just wet. North side of the car had 3" icicles, south side has 1". Walks, patio, driveway, road are all plain rain. Temp is 29f. If the fzrn can keep up after sunset, it will be downright dangerous.

Just my obs and predictions. Lousy day.

Hadn't heard of that brewery coming....but that name is a marketing coup, especially for that area.  ;)

Up to 31 here now, still a steady FZRA that doesn't want to accrete much except on exposed metal...
