Just saw a 5.8” spotter report from Sykesville and 4.5” in Elliott City. I think I probably mixed a bit and missed out on a couple hours of accumulation.

Sounds about right. Just eyeballing, I am somewhere between 4 and 5 here. Actually surprised it wasn't a little more given radar, but I'm guessing the ratio was pretty low and the snow seemed to cut off several hours earlier than modeled. Absolutely beautiful out. A true winter wonderland.

Finished with 4.2”.  So close but so far to hitting warning level here but no complaints. Everything is caked in snow - it is beyond gorgeous out. Literally looks like the world is covered in frosting. Maximizing an event here for change was fun.

happy for you!

Based on @leesburg 04, @heavy_wx, and you and me, it’s clear there was some mix with a gradient N-S across the county. Meso models yesterday showed that in the 8-9z time. I’m glad I slept through it. Maybe I can get to 4” with the final bands.

Yeah - I was at 3.5 at 3:45 am and only got to 4.2. Looking at radar per my post at the 3:45 measurement you can see I read the radar wrong and thought we would have several more hours of good rates.

me reading a radar wrong is...not a new development.

Really glad to hear this...you and folks near you needed this.

Currently 34/35...drizzle and a couple snowflakes.

From the looks of it, 2-3” on the ground here in Germantown. I’ll measure when I find my way outside. Not bad. Everything is white.

I have 4" on the ground with light snow falling.  but Checked the LWX table, a trained spotter in Clarksburg reported 1" lol

Another 0.2” in the last hour. Did a second snowboard wipe. 3.7” total. Hopefully the last bands can push me to 4”.

Think these next two bands will do the trick for you. If that band over Hagerstown continues its current path and doesn’t fall apart, it should get you over the top.
