29F light freezing rain. 1.2"

Glad i cut back totals last night to 1-2" and pulled the line north. Probably end up being too high for N CT but well see what additional we can get the next couple hours. Its pretty much done here as we changed to freezing rain and best lift is to the north...actually melted down to a 1/2 inch already. Never was a fan of this one snow growth looked terrible, temps were iffy, best lift was north...just a lot of things working against it to get more than an inch or two down in the North Haven/Hamden area.

Thought N CT especially in the hills was sitting comfortable for 3+ but that might even be too high. Well see what additional we can get up there, looks like the radar is trying to fill in over NE CT. So far all the reports ive seen are 1-1.5 ish everywhere.

Latest radar...

Cool thing I witnessed regarding fluff vs powder. Initially the fluff was melting on the street. But once we got baking powder, caved almost instantly. The more densely packed baking powder takes more energy to melt vs the air-like ice crystals with very little water content that are dendrites. Was cool to see.

The radar has more holes in it than a Kemba Walker shot chart
