Feb. 11-12 winter storm

Euro ticked N finally has accumulating snow here. With everything still ticking N this feels like one of those surprises coming where guidance is shifting N right up to the start and never really depicts the true N adjustments until it is snowing outside. Not going to be a massive system by any means but I can see areas that have been getting shafted ( @Animal) getting a nice treat here.

Uh ? It ticked north for many places.  Combine that with the cold and we will see high ratios. We all just need to get into measurable precip.

looking at WB maps a little less in central areas and a little more toward the NE toward NYC......not a huge change either way but with potential good ratios these maps may not be that helpful anywho

It was a big enough bump with 18 hrs left to warrant a double take.

Eta: the other feature which supports the shift is DC went from all snow yesterday to snow/sleet, to mostly sleet to rain now. I feel for that area honestly.
