mahk_webstah
I'm not sure why we talk about Friday. Sunday, we should be talking about that. STill time for that to evolve more favorably, regardless of what an individual model run shows. Sunday has a persistent signal even in between model fluctuations, for light-mod snow across a good part of new england.
HoarfrostHubb
Mood flakes for some Thurs and Friday Sat night into Sunday, small event verbatim... but I will take anything
Baroclinic Zone
I don't see Sunday as a major threat at this point but I do see potential for it to come closer then currently modeled.

ORH_wxman
Sunday looks like advisory level stuff at the moment, but can't rule out bigger yet. Cold profile, so may have to watch snow growth potential for another fluffer.

Models are likely going to struggle for several cycles here with handling the PV and the energy rotating around it. Wouldn't surprise me if we aren't really sure on Sunday until pretty close in.
ORH_wxman
NAM gets some light snow into the south coast area tonight...esp SW CT. As Ryan mentioned yesterday, the SGZ is really deep, so an inch or two of fluff down there can't be ruled out. Best chances are def SW CT....like Greenwich to BDR, but maybe slightly further northeast can get a little too. There's a lot of low level dry air to fight though, so I'd be skeptical north of there.

SouthCoastMA
This is the type of system where the old old GFS would show precip to the NH border. I believe that was a known bug that was corrected..but I'm sure at the time it falsely erected many unassuming weenies over the years.

mahk_webstah
A preview of what is to come (set to "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" February the climo snow month Had a lot of nickels and dimes Weenies accused the models Of a series of crimes Many of the skilled meteorologists laughed as the weenies called them names The knew the odds and models Had a way of playing games Then one crisp mid February night Ullr came to say Weenies get off the computer screens February snow climo has come to play Oh how the weenies loved it As they Jebwalked with glee February snow climo Is no longer just a theory!
