Less because of the bay and more because we are stuck between two bands that aren’t moving much, but sucks none the less...
jbenedet
That band from Boston down to New Haven is awesome. Just training, and intensifying over time. Boston and south west suburbs are going to come out of this with highest totals I think...and easily over a foot. 2

CT Valley Snowman
Riding the line here, just a bit too far NW for the heavy but steady and moderate bursts.
WeatherX
6” here as well. Hoping we can scrape off another inch or so with the last band.

You are experiencing what I often see on the NW flank. Get 9” on 0.30” water. Their snow maps are right for the wrong reason, but that’s hard to process for sure. IowaStorm05
I don’t doubt at all that we will have 15 to 18 inches total on the ground when this is over (10-14 new inches)

sankaty
Feel better about my methodology for a second core sample. This time I compressed two 5.5" cores into the same cylinder before melting, and melted gently in the microwave covered. The 11" combined core melted down to 7/16ths (.4375) liquid. The bigger sample with a more reliable technique yielded almost exactly the same result, just over 25:1. Let's approximate 22-26:1 to account for MOE (and the lower likelihood of a greater than 25:1 ratio). Which is to say, fluffy.
FRWEATHA
Pretty underwhelming here so far. About an inch on paved surfaces. Real difficulty adhering when it lightens.

moneypitmike
Been snowing really nicely here in Westborough. We're about 15 miles or so north of the Boston-New Haven band. Only 2" here--close but no cigar.

That is just filthy to have 35-40dbz showing up on the 0.5 degree scan. That's legit, someone has to be seeing 3"/hr in that SW of BOS.
