CNY-LES FREAK
Lake Erie band looks like its going to re-orientate itself on perhaps a SSW flow perhaps clipping the South towns pretty good but whole damn length of the lake is contributing to this colossal lake band, just effin incredible! TugHillMatt
Would you look at that...Watertown's getting hit. Their average is certainly going to be going up with all the events they've had the past several winters. CNY-LES FREAK
There's really not much energy with either Jet so no wonder why nothing is clicking or shall I say phasing. Both jets do have a disturbance but they stay separate like many have alluded to. If the winds didn't have to veer tomorrow with the Coastal, mini-Coastal shall I say, then winds would most certainly stay somewhat out of the SW or somewhere on the SW side, lol, or just oscillate between the 3. I believe anyway that some records will be broken with this band, definitely so we'll see I suppose. Theres gotta be 2-3/hr rates right now but maybe not. wolfie09
Still holding out hope that the gfs is on to something lol Both european and gfs have a decent synoptic system around D6 but gfs has a good amount of LES to follow with the close proximity of the PV.. European not buying it at the moment..

I don't think it goes too much further north and the seeding across the southern portion of the lake is still going. I'm going to be heading up to my dads place in a little bit.

WNash
We got under the heaviest returns for about 20 minutes as the band has been moving north. Glorious stuff! Our front windows are less than 10 yards from the wide street in front of our house, and we couldn’t see the plow that we could hear rattling past on the other side of the street. I didn’t go out to measure, but the viability was comparable to 3” per hour stuff I’ve seen in the heart of lake bands at my mother-in-law’s house in Gardenville. This was definitely the heaviest snow we have had since we moved to the University District several years ago. While it would have been awesome for the band to have stalled for a few hours, I’m grateful that we at least got a taste of the good stuff, instead of the total bust that it looked like earlier this morning. Update: we’re now getting light snow and the sky is very bright, so that band is hauling ass.
