Baum
6 minutes ago, Chicago Storm said: No dust here currently, and there wasn't this morning either...So I find that hard to believe. Most of the day real nice mood flakes. About 2 pm flake size became very small similar to Saturday's event and did so for maybe a half hour before the larger dendrites mixed in steadily and eventually became the main flake type. No reason to make up. Perhaps a bad description. But it is a nice steady snowfall now. Should add my location is 63rd and Belmont in Downers Grove today.
SchaumburgStormer
Sitting JUST north of the main line. Getting good dendrites but not at the rate I suspect is occurring 3-4 miles south.
cyclone77
Just under 3" with light snow still falling. A bit north in the Morrison area are likely a good inch or two higher even. Great little event today.

A yellow band on radar has been parked over that area for a couple hours. 4-5+" reports are not surprising at all. I will have to settle for a bit over 1". mjwise
Parachutes in Dekalb at 6 degrees. I don't think I've ever seen snow at this rate at this temperature before. Only seen sugar grinders or flurries below 10 degrees.
Chicago WX
Measured before I left for work this morning, and had 3.5” total for the morning/overnight round. Lightly snowing here all afternoon, but has picked up recently back to fluff balls. Roads have caved again. Great wintry appeal day!
