Here in Carlisle at 9:00am it is snowing moderately now and the temperature is 27.7 degrees.  I just measured precisely 1.0" so the past one hour had one inch per hour rates (lol).  Winds are out of the southeast at 5 mph occasionally gusting to 10.  Judging by radar it looks like the heaviest rates may now be to my east.  Will be interesting to see what happens during the next hour.

Beefed up totals from 6z.

Interestingly, central Cumberland county has consistently been modeled to only get 2".  The 0Z, 6Z, and now 12Z all give me just 2".  Good 'ole Blue Mountain does her thing once again if the NAM is correct.  Rate here now fluctuating between moderate and light.  Temp up slightly to 27.9.

I like CTP pulling the trigger and giving people the heads up on a high impact event.   It may have saved lives.   Technically wasn’t a squall but it gets the whistles blown.

Its the best short term message that they can send.  People outside the weather don't really know/care what the technical term is called.

Its dangerous and they pulled the alarm lever to get the message out quickly.  Kudos to them.....its puking snow over here.
