Edit: a quick look at December #s showed similar + departures but slightly less in magnitude, generally. The uunderproduction in snow for SYR/ROC/BUF made these 2 months feel like busts until mid/late January. Thank you!

BuffaloWeather
The Euro is weird. It gets the cold air here, but amplifies the SE ridge. Not sure I agree with it.
rochesterdave
GEFS tries. Probably a watcher for EC. It would have to be drastically different for us.

Not sure I agree with it. The rub, from what I’ve been reading, is the Euro is trying to have more of a progressive pattern than the GFS. It isn’t fully in board with the idea of a PV outbreak lower 48. IMHO Euro has been off this year.
Thinksnow18
Just noticed something interesting on the point forecast. It never changes Williamsville to rain tonight or tomorrow. That’s quite a change.

TugHillMatt
Wow...Dansville went from a low of 9 degrees to 41 degrees (32 degree rise.) Elmira went from a low of 4 degrees to 44 degrees! (40 degree rise) That's WITH snow on the ground....just crazy for winter. I guess the low dewpoints and wind helped with that.

Conceptually but without any phasing to slow it down it’s too quick... We need the Euro solution from roughly 150. That said even some light snow on Super Bowl Sunday would be great!
