TugHillMatt
Whew. It looks like the band made it here for several hours, but really did peter out so that those just west are probably still waiting. About 4 inches in the last several hours and the snow has tapered to light snow. Judging from King's pictures, Caz has way more snow than N. Onondaga. May need to rely on the lake getting involved again to actually get a "Synoptic storm" of over 6 inches. Sanity still here, but on life support. PerintonMan
Pixie dust falling here again. Looks like about 1.5" of it in the last 24 hours. Still holding out hope that the HRDPS is onto something with the south shore action.
SnowLover22
Ugh.... seems like a bust Edit: Nam still says 9 inches of snow. Not sure if I believe it.

Have you received anything yet? Just as I typed my last post, another subsidence zone appears to be forming here.
TugHillMatt
This is one of those events that is maddening because you watch the radar and think, "Oh, here comes a good band" and then it just disappears and is replaced by dryness.
BGM Blizzard
Getting some inch per hour stuff now I'd estimate. See how long it holds out..

TugHillMatt
Snowing very nicely even as the lighter greens move back in. Clouds are thin... with sunshine brightening up the thin overcast.

rochesterdave
Special Weather Statement out of Lewis, Oswego and Jefferson said 1-2”/he rates up there. That’s the feed for the south shore. It’s coming. Light snow has finally arrived in Irondequoit. I’m pretty convinced we have one hell of an afternoon ahead of us. Buckle up.

TugHillMatt
Bands just keep falling apart. Seems like the higher elevations are the only areas getting steady snowfall.
rochesterdave
Syracuse seems to be getting screwed. Down sloping? Snowing moderately now in Irondequoit.

Lot of subsidence and shadowing. I think the lake enhanced will make up for it in Onondaga county.
steffen
after a lull last evening the storm really delivered here overnight. Woke up to at least 8 fresh inches, probably more, but hard to say with lots of blowing and drifting. Still snowing and picking up again at the moment.
TugHillMatt
Several observations: 1) It is like a giant downslope party in the Syracuse region. 2) heaviest bands are up in North Tug and north country where they weren't supposed to get much at all. 3) Snow hates me.
TugHillMatt
I am quickly learning Syracuse sucks synoptically. I expressed my concerns about this a couple days ago and some said downsloping doesn't occur here. WNW winds are the only thing that seem to be able to produce here
CNY_WX
The snow has picked up in intensity in the last few minutes. We’ll see how long this lasts. After the burst of heavy snow between 5-8 AM the rest of this morning has been snow of varying intensity. Probably getting close to 4 inches for the storm. Another thing is the lack of wind right now. I would expect it to pick up later with hopefully some lake enhancement.
