Woke up at 8:50 am and went from light snow and a coating to 1" by 9:20 am - that's about 3/4" in the past 30 minutes.  Literally pouring huge gorgeous supersaturation-omega-3-fatty-acid snowflakes!! Down to 32F with roads covered.  Looks like this could overperform vs. the 0Z models last night, which would be sweet.

As of 9:50 am we have 1.75" on the ground, which is 1.5" per hour rates and it's down to 31F.  Snowing moderately to heavily now (smaller flakes, so probably lower ratios now).

As of 10:20 am, we're up to 2.5" OTG, which continues our 1.5" per hour rate and it's still 31F.  While the ratio is decent with good dendrites, the snow is wet enough to pack well, so it's almost snowman time, lol.

11:00 a.m. Mt. Arlington, NJ

New snow since SB 8:00 = 2" over 3 hours.

Temperature 26.6.

Moderate snow ongoing.

Based on radar my area of NW NJ is on NW fringe of the "good stuff".

Better rates and totals coning in southeast of here.

Thinking approx 4" for an event total here.

We shall see.

As of 10:50 am, we're at 3.0" OTG for a rate of 1" per hr over the last 30 min. Just finished an easy "shovel" with the big broom and snow has lightened up a bit, but more is on the way. 31F.

Do not wait until after the game to shovel, as it will in the 20s by then and will freeze - and will be in the teens by sunrise.

Well, we "only" got 1/2" in the last hour, so we're at 3.5" as of 11:50 am with a temp of 32F.  Fortunately, the snow has picked back up, so hopefully we can still get to 5-6" before this ends.

Pouring snow again the last 30 min, so we're up to 4.25" as of 12:20 pm (1.5"/hr rate) and it's still 32F.  6" is definitely attainable now, looking at that radar.

Very wet snow falling in Manhattan UES since about 9.30 AM, mostly melting on contact.

Actual accumulation is modest, perhaps an inch as of 1PM.

Would guess it might be a more substantial event further north.

That’s really hard to believe. I walked outside for 30 minutes on the UWS about 11:30 and there was about 3” on railings, benches and cars. Even some streets had 2” on the pavement.

As of 12:50 pm, we're up to 5.0" continuing the 1.5"/hr rate, although the intensity just let up after that, while I was doing my 2nd shovel - again, easy with the wide broom.  32F and seeing a bit of melting on paved surfaces that were plowed and have some blacktop, with the midday Feb sun.

At least in lower Manhattan there is very little accumulations. However slush is starting to appear on the roads and smaller streets and sidewalks have a dusting in some places.
