That choco-rasp sounds absolutely amazing...and I'm not surprised it would sell out that quickly. Almost beer o'clock here, and here's what's on deck first today from two of my favorite breweries:

Love Biggie Smores.

Love Southern Tier too.  Have you tried their Hot Cocoa Stout?  Excellent.

Have NOT tried ST's Hot Cocoa Stout, though I have no doubt it is excellent -- it is one of the few breweries whose mothership HQ I wish was closer than western NY, so we could try more of their awesome beers on draft as opposed to bottles/cans purchased at Wegmans.  :)

Speaking of the past, I had one of these when I was a kid!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilbert_U-238_Atomic_Energy_Laboratory

I also had the Gilbert spinthariscope.  It was a cardboard tube with one end painted with radium "undark" paint and had a small aspheric lens on the other side.  At night, looking through the lens one could see all the scintillation activity which was essentially alpha particles striking the zinc sulfide scintillating agent.  Looked like lightning in a bottle.  And to my disappointment holding this little miracle near an AM radio yielded no "sferic" noise.  Little did I know such a disc was quite dangerous and easily clocking 50+ mrem/hr gamma!  But it was sure fun to keep under a blanket like a night light that never needed batteries...

Our first color television was a Sony trinitron in 1972 just in time for the Olympics, the massacre, Olga Korbut, and Mark Spitz.

Haha!  I actually vaguely recall some about the 1972 Olympics and Mark Spitz's amazing run of gold medals (I was like 6 at the time!).  My older brother had this bean bag fish, and after those Olympics he took a black magic marker and drew a big mustache on it.  He dubbed it "Mark Fish" (in honor of Spitz)!!

Oh my the family said I hit it out of the park with this dinner. Cilantro Lime Chicken with Roasted Sweet Potato Salad. The chicken thigh fell off the bone and the hint of lime and cilantro put it over the top!

Huuuuge. Bigly win.

Was just thinking about how different the caps will be 5 years or so down the road. The Ovechkin Era has been around for 15 years now and eventually it will end.  Saw a  framed pic of Ovi and Backstrom sitting on the bench side by side and it made me start thinking about the caps after OVI. Very veteran team currently.  Thinking they might be pretty bad  for a few years  eventually. I've probably taken there consistency for granted. ( You know your teams been really good when your disappointed they don't make a deep playoff push). Being a WFT  fan also it jubilation just to make the damn playoffs.

I believe OVI is a free agent after this year. Im assuming and hoping they resign him.. I can't imagine him wearing another uniform. Hopefully him and Nick can when another cup and retire as life long caps.
