Eskimo Joe
IMO, big takeway from this winter is the Euro is not what it used to be. Not sure if there was an update that improved forecasting in another domain at the sacrifice of North America, but man it's been hot garbage this winter.
ovechkin
37 fun loving degrees at the VA on North Capitol St. Forecast of 40 will probably be in the rearview mirror before noon.
feloniousq
The question might not be if we get below 32 for this "event," it might be if we get below 37.

Harv_poor
Was yesterday the first day in about two years that the high temperature at DCA was 32 or less? And today could make two days in a row?
nj2va
Had another coating of ice overnight. Got a nice crunch on the snowpack. Trees are beautiful.

nw baltimore wx
It just went above freezing here. Trees are dripping and snow is sliding off the bent over bushes. Hopefully I won’t have to go outside and scraped the walkways.

I considered spreading ice melt last night (hate doing that) but figured feb sun angle even with clouds would do the heavy lifting. Lazy decisions are the correct decisions sometimes. NorthArlington101
Trees are melting off so fast it seems like it’s raining. Snow on most surfaces has been turned into a glacier though so I suspect I get at least another day with snow cover. Still a winter wonderland down in Charlottesville. We came close after the storm on 1/12/2019 which began a 12-day stretch. Before that, you'd have to go back to Jan 2016 after the Big Dog. I held on to that pack, with some refreshers, for 27 days. Helps to have 36" to start with. Last time it happened in February was 2014.
CAPE
31 here, but decent melting with the energy from the mid Feb sun doing its thing through the fog and clouds. No effort required on the deck, steps and car. Trees still look pretty with the ice.
