Feathery and gravity wave patterns embedded. Same here, beautiful. Was totally sunny at sunrise, now there is this arc of cirrus with feathery wisps above, a work of art from mother nature. You can tell something is coming.

snowfan
Another 3-5 today in Canaan. They’re making out fairly well this past month. Should be hitting 90” on the season within the next few days.
IUsedToHateCold
Just drove over to Crofton and car thermometer had 46 degrees. Seems warmer than I'd like it to be given it was 10:15 A.M.

Stormfly
36/23 A bit warm but we're still covered with snow. 5" in the shade, 1-2" in areas getting sun.
JakkelWx
Cold period seems to be slipping away ever so slowly. The weather forecast just fails to have any highs below freezing save for a couple days late next week, but that keeps getting pushed back. This is getting uninteresting real fast.

What a 2 week stretch of winter underway since last Sunday through this coming week . Tomorrow will make 9 straight days of snow cover here. The 3” hardpack should survive a 45° degree day, so I may be looking at an extended February stretch if the models are on to something. The only 2 Februaries with extended snowpack here in the past 15 years were 2010 and 2014. Feb ‘10 had 23 straight days (and 26 of 28 for the month) and Feb ‘14 also had 23 straight, as part of 39 consecutive days that began on 1/21.

We never came close to seeing grass here that year. Guess it had to do with us getting a better snow on Jan

Actually, during the afternoon of 2/5 I had non-accumulating snow for a while.
