psuhoffman
I had to go to York PA today and it was amazing how much warmer it was and less snow they have then here. Crazy difference even north of here once you get off Parrs Ridge. It was 28 here and 34 in York. It was noticeable as soon as I got out of the higher elevation area along the border. What it looks like here York PA Took the kids sledding today also. You can see my house on top the ridge in the background. My street was finally clear enough for me to take my normal evening walk...

2010 extreme
Interesting, never seen a wind advisory two counties wide that has no ridge along its axis and it only last for 4 hours. Potomac River wind tunnel/channel from 2-6 pm tomorrow.

CAPE
Might look pathetic in comparison the the northern tier mountain folk yards, but even after moderate to heavy rain and temps in the mid 30s yesterday the glacier is still holding on. Getting thin though.

Worked out well.
chris21
Absolutely dumping in Canaan per the white grass webcams. From a brief analysis of the data on Canaan snow, the 23 inch snowpack there appears to have a remarkable liquid equivalent (over 8 inches of qpf has fallen as snow with little melting for the past two months). It always gets more snow, I think because it’s downwind of the enhanced moisture stream from lake Ontario. But it’s more widespread than further north where the snow is mostly all upslope and confided to the immediate peaks. Plus southern VT gets into coastals way more. It also warms up in spring a lot faster then further north. If I had a spot to pick that might be it.
T. August
Be careful about parking on slopes. You can see where I parked it last night, and what I walked out to this AM. Slid back 20’ and only stopped because it hit the lawn. 5

I opened my window this morning and looked at my car and it was pretty clearly behind where it was parked before. There was a clear outline of snow with my car about 6ft behind it. I was baffled.
