This seems like a deal where extremely far east coastal locations struggle in that 4-10" range max. Some areas of cape Ann and far eastern portions of the south shore. Might tickle the taint here but anywhere west of coast In BOS by a few miles should get smoked aka blue hills Jerry Jamaica Plain Brookline and all Boston suburbs. Houghs neck and Squantum are examples of places you DON'T wanna be. My house in dot may have several inches more than Houghs neck and several inches less than Brookline. We'll see. It will be fun. I'm getting ready to go deliver packages. Today at work should be an absolute disaster. I'm on shift until 8pm in a uhaul van with rear wheel drive. Depends where. Downtown and near Logan I doubt it. TalcottWx
RI, SE MA, western suburbs of BOS, and interior NE MA look to be the best areas to me. I'd ideally like to be in Ray or Will's location.

Brighton will get that. But Southie? Let's see how it shakes out. But if I was an on air met, I'd guess be forecasting 6-12" at BOS Logan. Contradicts everything I just said but again, I'm thinking of the actual BOS locales where people live. Not the seagulls at Logan.

ScottieBird
Here in Newport the snow is struggling mightily to accumulate. The viz is 1 mile and the ceiling is not all that low. I suspect it'll be raining by 1. The NWS will bust badly here and the PVD cbs affiliate that copied and pasted their forecast will bust also. I should go to Cory's Pesaturo's house 40 miles up the road.

Better odds the further north you go. The upper CRV might never get into the heavy banding so definitely some sucker hole potential.
The 4 Seasons
I feel really good about this forecast right now. Only gradient that may show up is a W to E one. GONs good for at least 10 min. No change.

IowaStorm05
Light to almost moderate snow steady coming down this morning. No real crazy rates yet. Eyeballing 1.5 inches on top of the lucky two-inch snow pack we already had left from the last storm. But guys this is the first I’ve ever seen.... our river is not a river anymore right now. It’s a white wonderland. ......But I wouldn’t walk on it if I were you.

It will stick as rates increase... give it time... but no one predicted 8-12" that close to the coast...
