John1122
TDOT said 75 between the Campbell/Anderson line and 141 was beginning to get snow covered. That could impact areas down into north Knox soon.

The band that has been sliding down between Oak Ridge and Clinton is on me. Coming down nicely, but small flakes. Ripping tinies as the kids say I guess. Edit: It's not a normal flake type. Almost looks like graupel on the ground.
John1122
Heaviest rates since this morning underway now. Hopefully the HRRR was right showing me with another inch the rest of the night.
fountainguy97
Visibility is low right now. Some seriously heavy rates. .3-.5 mile visibility (I have plenty of house lights to judge by)

Stovepipe
Not that it matters as I'm not expecting anything really here, but I saw Radarscope going pink and went out to see what's going on. We're getting graupel like flakes mixed with.. rain drops. Surface is 30 degrees, but maybe upper levels have warmed a tad.

What an odd system overall.
BuCoVaWx
The roads are in pretty bad shape on Rt. 460 west from Grundy to KY state line. Didn't take long to get that way. The snow is slowing down compared to an hour or so ago.

Stovepipe
Now settling into a nice light to moderate regular snow! Flakes are certainly bigger. What a weird interesting event.
Math/Met
I’m currently getting some of the heaviest snow so far. Flakes are bigger here too.
John1122
Another round of + snow. Its odd, the radar presentation has no connection to how hard it's snowing. It looks the same with light snow and moderate or heavier snow.
Stovepipe
One thing is consistent, the Gatlinburg area has been under dark blue radarscope returns hour after hour for what seems like the whole evening. I'd be curious to get some obs from there.

Holston_River_Rambler
I must have gotten under a nice band overnight. A healthy crust of snow (maybe 1/4 inch) and it is still pouring little flakes. But wait, there's more...
