This will fill in and intensify as it reaches us. The storm is generating a little late for the DC area and models have the most precip to come from Philly on north/east. The initial dry slot I believe is due to the transfer from primary to coastal and will fill in and blow up from Philly on NE once the coastal cranks. This is likely the result of the transition of energy from the primary storm to the secondary one that will produce the excessive snows.
