The dryslot came in fast again like Dec because of the less than ideal 700mb track. Even this morning they mostly had 16-20" here and although there's an outside chance over the next day we make it to the low end of this but 13-14" is probably what I have. Still a great event regardless. I think there was a GFS v16 run yesterday that showed the distribution particularly well with the huge max over E PA, S NY and NJ where the 700 low would allow the best pivot which looks like it'll verify very well. funny that people were worried about sleet and/or rain and it only happened for a miniscule amount of time (like under 30 min if even that), it was the dry slot that made the difference. A snow plow was stuck on my street this morning and the guy had to dig himself out manually with a shovel lol, the last time I saw that was in Jan 1996. I was suprised how eager the anti-lock brakes were to engage and I was babying them. Lesson is...the ground was frozen before; 12 hours at 33 or 34 isn't going to keep things liquid on the roads once the sun goes down. got about an inch here from the late afternoon and evening snow, the roads were covered here again

gravitylover
It's still snowing. The snow started around 3 in the afternoon, stopped for a few hours then picked up again early this morning. I've gotten 3" additional since the main show ended yesterday morning.
