Just got in from a ride around town and a bit on 287 and it's pretty slick out there with the cold temps (24F) and the snow sticking easily and probably melting/refreezing some.  Saw a couple of spin-outs locally and even 287 is starting to get a little slushy.  1" already on the ground in Metuchen at 4 pm, which is certainly early.

Light snow has begun to cover the ground in Park Slope. Holding steady at 27.

Approaching ~.75-1” now in Sullivan, don’t expect much above 3-5 to happen tonight into the earliest portions of tomorrow. This is shaping up to be a good storm for us and something legitimately special for folks closer to NYC/LI

A lot more on the ground than I expected this early. 3ish inches OTG so far. Moderate to Heavy snow. 25 in Monmouth County.

Going by the radar I am looking at (CoD) not even virga here at the moment.  The echos to the west (presumably virga) are hitting a wall in Nassau and getting beaten back by the dry air in place.  DPs locally seem to be around +8 or 9 with surface air temp steady at 22 (Smithtown).

For the places where the snow has been reaching the surface for a little while, has there been any wetbulbing of the surface temps or is the WAA offsetting that?
