jm1220
Up to about 6" now, some places slightly more, some less. Wind's picking up pretty significantly and starting to blow the snow around. Light to borderline moderate I'd say

It’s also possible it could be snowing much harder in parts of queens and LI than Manhattan. The bands are coming in off the ocean and expected to move nw

I think the camera can make it look like it's snowing more or less heavily than it actually is depending on a few various factors... I'm in the northwestern bronx and its been puking snow for almost 3 hours now. Easily above 7 inches, maybe even 8.. mega bands are also incoming..either way I predict over 20 inches for the bronx..some spots over 2 feet. I just saw it. The camera is focused on her so naturally the snowflakes are not in focus and that's why you can't see them as well. She just said she measured 6 inches of snow there. Phillycane
Pouring snow here in the Upper East Side. Unless there is a dramatic difference within 3 miles in Manhattan, it's likely a camera or building illusion in the coverage down in Madison Square Park.

JustinRP37
This is great! Ripping snow here. Although the sad thing is covid 'killed the snow day' since many can now work remotely. Even so, I will take some time off to get outside and play in the snow with my 2 year old who is beyond excited.
