Agree(im in Urbana), just came from outside. Coming down at a good clip now, giving a good covering over everything that was exposed earlier today.  Hoping the rates hold up for a few hours at least tonight. At least before the lull again(and maybe coastal bands).

Hoping for 2+ inches tomorrow as well.

Definitely getting some enhancements here over the last hour. Also, a noted uptick in wind.. Not much, but when snowblowing it can start covering you in the snow you are blowing when it starts blowing. LOL!
This is our beat stretch since this morning

Clarksburg 7:45PM Jan31 3.8"  SN-

Wow, that’s an awesome total compared to my location which is just a few miles away. I’m in Damascus and have 2.5”. My area never had any moderate snow with higher ratio flakes. Myby has been mostly pixe dust. Hopefully tomorrow will yield another inch or two.

Moderate snow is Smithsburg.

4" on the dot.

25 degrees

Where in Smithsburg? I live near the schools and have about 1.5” and light snow. You must be on the mountain?  I stand corrected, I just went out and took an official measurement.  3” on the button and coming down maybe better than it has all day.

Yeah somehow to others it actually looks good. Beats the hell out of me

Yeah, the people under those greens. The precip has been training west to east along the MD PA border all day. 5”+ obs are likely quite common between Manchester and Frederick along that latitude right now

Just started getting some bigger flakes, but I could dodge them if I had to lol. Maybe it will hold for a bit.

Since I am going to report the results, I have kept track of the totals otherwise, It hasn't been a fun storm by any means.  At least not for me.  Typical miller B event.

Man what a bust, we got maybe 2" tops and now it's rain.  Can't believe I spent so much time tracking this system.  Sigh, them's the breaks I guess.  We definitely busted low relative to almost all the models, maybe the 3k NAM was close?  How about that canadian, lmao.

If it makes you feel any better we only got 2" up here in Germantown well NW of the city and we're done.  My forecast was 6-8 and my low end was 4".  Huuuuuuuge bust.  My thinking is we had a chance on Dec. 16 and failed and we had this chance and failed miserably again.  We will not get another chance in a Nina winter.  We're done
