PWC Split
Just about 3 inches in Haymarket and rates are picking back up, enough to think about covering the blacktop showing after the plow came by.

Bob Chill
Just clicked aroud wx stations at and offshore of VA beach. Forecast was SE shifting to E late. Already due east. Is this significant? Dont know yet but it's certainly not a bad thing. What's going on down there has a bearing on what happens this afternoon with the waa snows. Won't be surprised if radar starts lighting up in these parts again shortly. 1 5

LP08
2.5” in N. Arlington. Been pixie dust for about the last two hours while I was outside with the kids. Here’s to hoping for a couple more this afternoon!
ovechkin
Dark echos to the south, east and north of the immediate metro. Sounds about right. WAA is better to the south. Miss the coastal to the north. There has go to be something to why the immediate metro seems to suck at maximizing dynamics in any circumstance. Anyway, Was just out in the Arcola, Georgia ave, Kemp mill road university blvd area. Barely an event on the roads. Spittting pixie dust now. Barely needed the wipers. Multiple 4-5 inch amounts down there. Places that have had more snow than DC: Richmond, Virginia Beach (LOL), Louisiana, central North Carolina, Madrid Spain Very light snow and just under 2" on the ground. Looks to be over. JakkelWx
It's snowing the hardest all day now. 30 dbz echos just to my SW. That was the nasty water logged slush. This stuff is nice powder. Certainly not the event that could have been, though. Curious to see if the lull area can fill in a bit.
