GATECH
Day 4 of a quality winter stretch, cloudy, chilly and snow covered. Will all go away today, but it was fun. Kid got quality snowball fight and sledding in, and there was little need to shovel, which is fine by me!
Donald Sutherlands Eyebrow
Duration has been the winner here. Snowing again this morning. It's been snowing on and off since Sunday....Crazy
ErinInTheSky
Lol. I am getting a few flakes even still from that band moving to the north of me. I really like the long duration stuff, it's kept the snow cover looking great.

Really pretty landscape...seems like a fairly uniform storm in general minus a few jacks and some unlucky spots. Leesburg's preferred method of sand is pretty hideous though but hey...it snowed!! Anything is better than brine and salt. Personally if it were up to me I’d ban both.

You'd have no argument from me. Its horrible for the ecosystems and watersheds. At this rate the Potomac will be open for salt-water fishing in 20 years. Great Whites up in the Tidal Basin. 3

It's nice to just have snow every day and to see it look so white outside. I just would REALLY prefer to get more of it up front next time. My heart can't take that stress lol.

Maestrobjwa
STILL flurrying!! This is hilarious (and kinda awesome). We may have missed the brunt of the storm, but this little amusement (and the constant winter ambiance) has been a pretty nice consolation prize, lol

MN Transplant
Looking at CoCoRahs data, it looks like the total precip was roughly 0.5" to 1.0". So, several of the models really busted high on the QPF, setting aside any question about snow maps.
WVclimo
Storm total of 11.9" on 1.22" of precip. First time in 15 years at this location that I have recorded measurable snow on four consecutive days.
