Miss Pixee
Looks like a picture postcard outside. Everything is white and fluffy...chunky fine flakes falling in a cloud. Would be the coolest if this ran till the next storm system. They say snow brings snow...

heavy_wx
Moderate snow with low-density fluff in this band. Reminds me of lake effect.

Snowing lightly now. this was the ultimate Snow TV. Just mindboggiling to have steady snow since 4:00am sunday and only have 6-8 to show for it lol
09-10 analogy
Yeah I’ve had to change my assessment of this one. The sheer persistence of this thing is remarkable. 48 hours of mostly frozen precipitation. And this band is great. Even getting a little wind. I think part of it is my tendinitis in both shoulders is bothering me from not being able to go to the gym, so I’m cranky.
SnowenOutThere
Wow! What a band it starts all the way up in Reading and ends in Richmond. Also I think the northern end might shift a shift west which might let me in on the snow again which would be nice but mainly I am just happy for DC they needed this. When some people in DC wake up they are going to have a big surprise because this was un-forecast. We should never stress about snow maps and bands until they form it's just not worth it. What a Hail Marry shot.

Hank Scorpio
Time sensitive, but this radar loop does a great job of showing how persistent banding has been in the region since yesterday evening: https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?parms=LWX-N0Q-0-200-100-usa-rad

aldie 22
Begs the question...you're guaranteed 4-8" of snow. Do you want a quick hitter in and out in 5 hours or this long drawn out winter scene for 3-4 days?
Eskimo Joe
The upper level component with this storm has been incredible.
