FWIW, the RGEM is locked in to the idea of really hammering the I-40 corridor from AVL-HKY-SVH-GSO with significant ZR for multiple runs now, including the 12z coming in now.

With the threat of significant ZR seemingly being downplayed, a quick turn could surprise a lot of people.

Thanks Matt.

And boy does it hammer down at hour 24. It’s trying to keep my location right on the end the entire time.
Going to be fun watching this come in and how it dissects the county.

Apologies if this doesn’t sound too “scientific” but something about this event simply just does not pass the smell test for me.

Uh oh what are you feeling overall? I think RGEM is way too cold personally. Also gives DC north 30-40” lol.

Does anyone have a link to the current 2 meter WBZ line? ..... It will be helpful as we go into this tonight.

You can get it here at Winter Weather > Surface Wet-Bulb Temp: https://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/mesoanalysis/new/viewsector.php?sector=17#

Wet bulb freezing is currently across SC

Now full disclosure I haven’t taken a full look under the hood but:
- The CAD isn’t particularly strong or impressive
- I don’t really know how much I trust this moisture feed holding its integrity tomorrow morning during a LP transfer
- I like the RGEM but not if it’s alone in a depiction of something

I can see the foothills and those counties right along the spine of the apps that are “core CAD” I guess you could call it getting a decent glaze but overall I’m put off by the lukewarm CAD signal

Makes sense.
