Chinook
This band of snow in Indiana right now has no stations reporting snow under the band-- only stations to the southwest are reporting snow. Maybe it is just a timing thing, or maybe there is significant virga?

hlcater
This is quite a storm here. Especially seeing as we probably only have 4-5” of new snow once this is all said and done. Obs/webcams/road conditions suggest blizzard criteria will easily be met across northwestern portions of DVN’s CWA. That, combined with their forecast of only 1-2” for IC and 2-3” for CR, they really dropped the ball with this one. As much as I hate to say it.

Luftfeuchtigkeit
Still light winds here, wet snow is falling straight down and really coating the trees. I just measured 2.5". I was expecting around 4" total and seems like we'll get there. My snow depth was 13" before the snow started.

IWXwx
NWS predicted less than an inch for us today/tonight. Whoops. WAA hasn't made this this far north. All snow north of I 70 in Indiana. Already put an inch down in an hour and still pouring.

While I had not yet bought into the jackpot totals on some models, no models were predicting anything less than 3" in Cedar Rapids. At the time, my point forecast said 1-3", which didn't really make sense.

IllinoisWedges
Experienced some of the heaviest snow I've ever experienced around 1:20PM in Rosemont. WeatherMonger
Has switched to snow here, about an hour or two earlier than expected. Likely too warm yet for it to accumulate though.
tuanis
Maybe a half inch so far. Poor accumulation rates, but fun to watch the big flakes fall for sure. It’ll stick better as the afternoon progresses. Front looks to be approaching the I-39 corridor over the next hour or so. It cleared DVN about an hour and a half ago.
