40/70 Benchmark
Man, the GEM is now a pretty massive hit across all of NE....that is a big change.
78Blizzard
Ukie drops 1.2" of QPF here, of which 0.4" is rain since the Pivotal map shows 8" of snow. Yet the surface temp stays at freezing or below throughout, and the upper level freezing levels never get off the outer cape. Makes no sense. FRWEATHA
Just looking at Philly forum the best snow total in Emass is 7” on the Ukie. Basically same amount across LI. Ct and NNE are left out.
TauntonBlizzard2013
Looks like most Boston stations are buying some sort of mixed bag Boston points south.

40/70 Benchmark
I feel like the EURO will be more amped than 12z....maybe not quite like the GEM, but...

Don’t they always. Sometimes I feel it’s definitely warranted. Sometimes it’s ridiculous. In this case it’s 50-50. So I can get the hedging

I'm a little of skeptical of 12+ hours of SN/+SN here and 20" but hey, I'll take. That was an interior monster hit. Seems too far NW but I'm gonna' hang it up and see what tomorrow brings. 40/70 Benchmark
GEM is the type of system it would be cool for me to see....straddle the CF and get 1'+ paste....been a rarity past several seasons.

Bouchard was funny at 10pm, he (or somebody) kept putting up the wrong screens and he was fumbling because of it and my wife said "is high or drunk?" There's been about 1" here since 12/17, 9" on the season in my backyard. Not sure what it's seeing that others aren't. Euro will tell the tale as usual I guess. weathafella
Reminds me of March 2013. Remember NAM has the 850 west of Albany right up to game time? Firehoses are hard to resolve thermally it appears.
40/70 Benchmark
I'm glad we are getting this arctic plunge, even though it departs ahead of the event....flushing out that marine layer with an arctic plunger is never a bad thing on the eve of a big easterly firehose.
