It cracks me up how different it is from the v16 almost all the time. They are often hundreds of miles apart with a totally different evolution for events. Complete outliers from each other. Father and son hate each other.

I think it really highlights how worthless deterministic guidance really is in the extended. The v16 does have some physical changes to the model this time around, but it's not wildly different than the v15. Honestly you could probably run the v15 twice and get different results too.

LOL oh yeah that's a certainty! Chaos theory simulator.

Do you think the depiction on the models showing me downsloped into oblivion are overdone on this one? Doesn't seem like due south winds, more SE.

I think I would like to see more SE flow towards 850mb. But, below that winds to come around to more E-SE which I think is ok for you. I don't think you'll be choking on exhaust.

I'm sure this isn't news to you guys locally, but cover was definitely spotty when I was on I-91 and I-90 yesterday. South of about Deerfield Mass coverage went down pretty quickly. Brattleboro VT still had 10" solid eveywhere.

Medians on highways are going to torch first obviously, but long stretches of nothing.

Yes that's pretty accurate and I feel areas just east of here and in lower elevations are even a little bit worse.  The map below confirms as I'm just west of that area.

That snow coverage map really shows the lingering effects of the 2/1 event well in eastern MA.

I like this one better, It shows how little pack there is along the coast and coastal plain for February.

I actually have the most snowpack of the season outside of the mid December fluff that compacted down within 48 hours.

Pretty solid 5 inches on the ground, but I'm losing like 0.5" a day.

21 here under full sun. Not a cloud in the sky. Pretty impressive in a sense.

You would’ve liked 3/6 in 2007 when it was like 5° in the afternoon with full sun even down here. Difference was we had 40-45mph gusts too. Absolutely brutal when you were in the shade. Looks like BML was -5° in the afternoon after it cleared out.

It sure is solid, Its like trying to melt a glacier after some of these most recent sleet bombs we've had, The highest my pack has been this winter is 12" and i'm around 8-9" now.

Just woods and shaded spots here for snow. It's funny. Some yards like 4-6", Other's you could plant flowers.

Fell under 10" here....prob some time yesterday (I actually haven't touched the snow stick in days...starting to tilt a little, lol). You can see the pack receding pretty good from the edge of the driveway now.....though the very front of my house which stays shaded is melting out a lot slow. These bushes are just becoming visible, lol.

Of course, as I posted yesterday, I've fallen behind winter hill now. I was pretty even with them for a lot of the month given that I did as well as them during the 2/1 event and even better than them during the 2/7 and 2/19 events. But 2/22 was the turning point...they got an inch of slop as a bit of barrier and then the sneaky torch days that followed hit harder here than there.

This was winter hill last night...they had a solid foot left up there at least, maybe more in the shadier spots:
